Main focus was on the MAF and MPS modules of Amdocs. These modules are calculating the fixed net usage for major customers. These major customers have offices in several countries and have leased lines from DT. Therefore they can call for special rates. Also volume discounts and other discounts are calculated.
My activities in Leipzig: describing the business and system processes. Preparing test cases based on specifications and planned tests. Management of test cases, bugs, errors, failures, version and (hot)fixes. Participating and giving support in system-, regression-, acceptance- and parallel testing of Amdocs Ensemble system with files, machines and interfaces which are going to be used in production.
During the system test (partly done in Leipzig) and the user acceptance test (in Offenburg) I trained the testers (end users) in handling the system and explaining the business processes behind the different system processes (e.g. MAF, Splitter, Listener, Rater, Error handling, Volume Rater, Trigger Handling)
After I tested all functionality, I trained the operational organization (in Göpingen) of how to use Maestro and Schapi tool for executing an EOD. Also I trained them in analysing log files. After I tested all functionality, I trained the end users (in Dortmund) of operating the daily processing of the system (monitoring, starting and stopping processes), analysing results, reports and using statistical information
During the first small parallel test (compare results of 11 customers with old system) of the Ensemble system I operated the Global production system
-
During the second full parallel test with all customers I completely prepared and executed the cleaning of the production database and file system. This activity is considered as a preparation of the migration
After the project was finished I received the following recommendation letter:
